Overview

This course provides the necessary training to competently and safely teach the use of helium-based breathing gases for dives requiring staged decompression to a maximum depth of 100 m. The objective of the course is to enable the instructor to demonstrate the benefits, hazards and correct procedures for using oxygen/helium/nitrogen mixtures as breathing gases.
